Know what you actually earned

Turn billing, insurance, and patient-payment activity into financial reporting you can trust.

Eliminate manual revenue accounting

Stop rebuilding the same reconciliation by hand every month, and stop it being one person's job to remember how.

Make better decisions

See performance by organization, location, and service line without manually rebuilding the numbers every month.

Patient responsibility

The half of revenue most systems leave on a spreadsheet.

Insurance is only part of what you are owed. Patient balances are where the accounting usually stops being accounting and starts being someone's memory.

Patient balances that belong to the books

What a patient owes is derived from the claim's adjudication, not typed in twice. It moves into your financial statements with everything else, so the patient side of revenue stops being a separate spreadsheet that never quite ties.

Money taken early is a liability, not revenue

Payments collected before a claim adjudicates are booked as deferred revenue and released as the claim lands. A prepayment never inflates a month you would have to correct later.

Money you may owe back is never money you earned

When a payer or a patient pays more than the claim adjudicated, the excess is held as a liability rather than counted as revenue. Overpayments show as a balance you can act on instead of quietly padding a good month.

Out-of-pocket maximums, handled the way the front office already knows them.

Your team knows a patient has hit their out-of-pocket maximum long before any claim feed could prove it. Mark it once and Nielo holds that patient's balances for the rest of the plan year, then releases the hold on its own when the year resets. Held balances stay fully visible and are never written off automatically, because a hold is a question about who pays rather than a decision that nobody does.

Product

Financial clarity without the administrative burden.

Most healthcare finance teams do not have a reporting problem. They have a month-end problem, and it shows up in the reporting.

What this costs you today

  • The books close late, so the numbers everyone plans against are three weeks old by the time they arrive.
  • A large payer deposit lands and nobody can say which of it is revenue, which is a fee and which is money coming back out.
  • Revenue by location is a spreadsheet somebody rebuilds by hand every month, and it is nobody's actual job.
  • The person who understands the reconciliation is one person, and when they are out, the close waits.

What it looks like handled

  • Deposits are accounted for as they arrive, so the close starts finished instead of starting from zero.
  • What was earned, what is still owed and what actually reached the bank are three numbers you can read, not three projects.
  • Revenue by location and service line is already there on the first of the month.
  • Anything that does not tie is on a short list with a name next to it, instead of buried in a reconciliation nobody has time to open.

Clean accounting, not forced matches.

Nielo only posts revenue it can stand behind. Anything that needs a decision is held for review and resolved before it reaches your financial statements, because a number that ties for the wrong reason is worse than one that is late.

The end result, in QuickBooks, to the cent.

This is the same demo book in Nielo and in QuickBooks. Four programs, denials, estimate adjustments, patient responsibility and recoupments all posted - and every total ties exactly.

A QuickBooks Profit and Loss for the demo treatment center, showing revenue by program with denials, estimate adjustments, patient responsibility and recoupments as contra lines, totalling $864,417.02.

Not a mock-up: both columns are the same books, read from each system on the same day. That is what "your books close themselves" has to mean, or it means nothing.
